International Family Lawyers

The firm’s Principal, Mr Chris Dimock, qualified in England and retains a particular interest in the English system of family law. As a firm, we have established connections with lawyers overseas, that will better equip us to assist you, should you be involved in an international family law dispute.

We are often asked to advise in matters involving international relocation, the Hague Convention on international abduction and in property disputes in which one or both parties are domiciled in Australia but hold property interests overseas. James Richardson acted for one of the parties in the matter of U & U [2002] HCA36. This was a case in which the mother sought to relocate with her child to Mumbai, India, and that ultimately required determination by the High Court.
